Jesús F. Limón
FOUNDER
Jesús F. Limón (b. 1976, Mexicali, B.C.) is an architect, educator, and visual thinker based in San Diego. He studied architecture at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) and later earned a second degree at Woodbury University in 2005, enabling him to practice professionally on both sides of the U.S.–Mexico border.
After working with several notable architects in the region, he founded Prismática in 2012 — an award-winning, binational practice focused on progressive, site-responsive architecture in the San Diego–Tijuana corridor.
Earlier in his career, Jesús collaborated with Germen Estudio, an experimental architecture and art collective in Tijuana, and later became an associate at Studio Teddy Cruz (now Estudio Teddy Cruz + Fonna Forman), where he contributed to major international exhibitions and cross-disciplinary urban research.
In 2008, he joined the office of Ted Smith and Kathy McCormick, participating in projects exploring creative models for real estate development and residential design in San Diego.
In parallel with his architectural work, Jesús is an active photographer and educator. He currently teaches design studio at the NewSchool of Architecture & Design and previously taught at Woodbury University. His work navigates architecture, visual culture, and the politics of everyday urban space.
